You can expect to:

  • Spur digital transformation through the management of digital projects across various sectors including the Arts and Heritage, Community and Religion, Sports, Youth and Charity, over a 6 to 12-month period
  • Receive a trainee allowance

Who are we looking for?

All youth who are interested in digital transformation across various sectors including the Arts and Heritage, Community and Religion, Sports, Youth and Charity.

Eligibility criteria

  • You must be a Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
  • Open to all youth who are:
    • Recent graduates from ITE, polytechnics and universities
    • Young working adults up to 35 years old (as of 2021) who are seeking employment opportunities

DIGITAL SPECIALIST

 

Overview

  • You possess skills and knowledge in specific, technical areas (e.g. Data analytics, enterprise systems, IT infrastructure)
  • You will implement solutions in your areas of expertise to support the organisation’s digital transformation journey

Responsibilities*

  • Provide technical expertise and support to the organisation
  • Develop and implement digital solutions according to the digitalisation project plan

DIGITALISATION / ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER

 

Overview

Plan and oversee the digital transformation of your client organisation.

Responsibilities*

  • Work with stakeholders to define objectives and user requirements
  • Plan project timelines
  • Manage project team to deliver scope of work
  • Report to stakeholders in a timely manner

DIGITALISATION AMBASSADOR

 

Overview

  • Be an advocate of digital solutions and support the digital transformation journey of organisations in the social and community sectors
  • Meet with organisations directly to identify their needs and promote the host of solutions specific to their objectives and requirements

Responsibilities*

  • Source for potential clients
  • Identify clients’ needs and pain points
  • Share menu of solutions and services with organisations (e.g. E-payment systems, enterprise systems)
  • Support the client’s grant application process
  • Maintain after-delivery support with clients

DIGITAL DESIGNER

 

Overview

Ideate and create online content to engage the organisation’s target audience.

Responsibilities*

  • Conduct research
  • Write and edit engaging articles
  • Design appealing graphics and infographics
  • Develop and edit video and podcast content

DIGITAL MARKETER

 

Overview

  • Plan digital marketing campaigns that promote your client organisation’s brand and cause
  • Manage the organisation’s digital media platforms

Responsibilities*

  • Manage organisation’s social media presence and engage online communities
  • Utilise search engine optimisation to boost online visibility
  • Plan and manage digital marketing campaigns, including measuring and reporting of performance

Who are we looking for?

Organisations who:

  • Want to improve their service and offerings through digital means
  • Are keen to host youth to help them in their digitalisation efforts
  • Demonstrate commitment in:
    • – Sourcing digital project funding
    • – Assigning staff to oversee project development
    • – Establishing learning outcomes for youth during placements
  • Will partner NYC to determine needs, scope, project deliverables and duration
  • Can map out clear roles and responsibilities, including project work arrangements and schedules

  • Operates in community and social sectors, including non-government organisations (NGOs), non-profit organisations (NPOs), social enterprises and small and medium-sized commercial entities

What will be provided?

Organisations will be able to accelerate their digitalisation transformation efforts in their business operations with the support of YouthTech trainees and expert partners.

Who are we looking for?

Expert partners with relevant digital-driven service offerings and are willing to conduct training sessions in the following areas:

  • Consultancy: Identify gaps and assess digital needs
  • Solutioning: Scope digital solutions, project deliverables and manpower requirements to spur digital transformation
  • Training: Develop capabilities and mentor youth to deliver digital solutions

Eligibility criteria

  • Registered/incorporated in Singapore
  • Operates in community and social sectors, including non-government organisations (NGOs), non-profit organisations (NPOs), social enterprises and small and medium-sized commercial entities

Can an expert partner train and provide placement opportunities at the same time?

Yes, an expert partner can provide:

  1. training,
  2. expert advice or consultancy,
  3. digital project management (i.e. Scope and develop digital projects, deploy youth) and be an organisation to host youth at the same time.
