Have a burning question about the Forward Singapore exercise that you would like to ask Deputy Prime Minister Lawrence Wong?

You can now do so, as part of a youth forum called Ask Me Anything with DPM Wong which will be held on Nov 23. Produced by CNA and supported by the National Youth Council, videos of the forum will be released on CNA platforms at the end of the month.

At the forum, DPM Wong will take questions on a wide range of topics faced by youths today and their concerns, to broader topics about Singapore’s social compact and their vision for Singapore.

Questions can be submitted by youths online from now till Nov 14, 12am. The more popular topics will be selected and addressed at the forum.

In a video posted on his Instagram account on Nov 1, DPM Wong encouraged youth to share their opinions and burning questions.

“If you have any ideas, or any burning issues you feel strongly about, please share them,” he said in his video.

Launched on June 28, the Forward SG exercise aims to review and refresh Singapore’s social compact. Engagements are being held to allow Singaporeans to share their concerns.

A report will be released at the end of the year-long exercise in mid-2023, which will be used to set out policy recommendations.

Mr Wong said at the launch of the exercise that it hopes to empower and equip Singaporeans, care for Singaporeans’ needs in this “volatile world”, build an even better home and steward environmental and financial resources to meet the needs of Singaporeans, and unite Singaporeans to pull together as one to take the nation forward.
