Youth Corps Community Fair to be held on Jul 31, workshops and volunteering opportunities available
The fair will let participants discover opportunities to serve various communities and causes.
In order to provide the public with a better understanding of their youth communities, Youth Corps Singapore (YCS) will hold the Youth Corps Community Fair 2022 on Jul 31 at The Red Box from 12pm to 4pm.
The fair will feature a series of interactive activities, targeted at those aged 15 to 35, to help them explore opportunities to serve communities and causes.
It will span over three floors and feature 17 exhibitions by various community and interest groups such as SG Exams and Aphasia SG.
Participants will be able to learn more about what these groups do and connect with them to volunteer at their initiatives.
They can also sign up for the many sharing sessions and hands-on workshops lined up throughout the event, which cover a variety of topics ranging from mental health to social issues.
Workshops include The Blank Canvas, where participants indulge in a session of self-care through expressive art, as well as Exploring Beyond Singapore, where one can learn how to contribute to communities outside of Singapore.
There will also be a list of fun tasks that participants can work on while exploring the fair, with prizes to be won.
YCS is a division under the National Youth Council that was launched in 2014 by the Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth. It aims to ignite positive change through community service, while empowering and supporting youths.
Interested applicants can register for the fair and the respective workshops here, while slots last. Registration will close at 5pm on Friday (Jul 29). The Red Box Singapore, located at 113 Somerset Road, Singapore 238165.
