Wong Fu Fu, Taiwan-inspired hotplate restaurant with free flow Taiwan Bubble Milk Tea, to open on Feb 23

A Taiwan-inspired hotplate restaurant with free flow bubble milk tea is opening on Feb 23.
Called Wong Fu Fu, it is located at 776 North Bridge Road. Its culinary concept is “based around the imaginary legend of a Little Girl Who Played With Fire”, said the restaurant in a press release.
“Carrying on the story’s tradition, the Singapore restaurant is for everyone. So people from all walks of life can walk in to savour the sizzle,” it said.
The eatery will offer Taiwan-style hotplate meals with its signature sauces – signature brown, black pepper, mushroom or tomato. These main dishes include the grilled chicken leg, grilled lamb chop, grilled beef striploin, Taiwanese fried chicken cutlet, grilled salmon, mixed grill seafood, Taiwanese 3 cup chicken and plant-based hamburg.
The main dishes come with a choice of rice, noodles and eggs. It is accompanied with an 80-minute access to a mini buffet bar with over 15 types of hot and cold dishes and free flow of drinks including the Taiwan bubble milk tea.
Each mains cost between $24.90 and $32.90 while the kids meal is priced from $15.90.
The eatery, which will open every Tuesday to Sunday from 11.30am to 10pm, also has a 10-seater semi-private room for those who prefer a more intimate dining experience.
Merchandise, such as the Wong Fu Fu signature fluffy cushion, limited-edition bags and pins will also be available for sale.
Wong Fu Fu said that its meal is “currently Muslim friendly”. It is in the midst of getting Halal certification.
As part of its opening special, the eatery is offering a promotion – where “every group of four diners pay for only three” – from opening till Mar 21.
