Where to catch a glimpse of the Fighter Island and State Flag flypast for NDP 2022
The State Flag flypast will travel in two different routes around Singapore.
Singaporeans can look forward to seeing The Republic of Singapore Air Force’s (RSAF) fighter jets and Chinook helicopters in the heartlands this National Day, as the signature Fighter Island and State Flag flypast makes its annual return for this year’s celebrations.
The RSAF unveiled the flight paths for the two flypast showcases in a Facebook post on Thursday (Jul 7).
The Fighter Island flypast, which features six F-16C/Ds aircrafts, will have fly in three loops at different locations around the heartlands.

The first loop will see the aircrafts fly around Choa Chu Kang, Bukit Panjang, Buona Vista and Jurong West, while the second loop is set around Toa Payoh, Eunos, Tampines and Punggol.
The third loop, which is the biggest, will see the six aircrafts circle around Sengkang, Yishun, Woodlands, Bukit Panjang and Bishan.
As for the state flag flypast, it will feature two Chinook helicopters that will travel in two separate routes in the east and west side of Singapore.

The eastern route will see the Chinook helicopter fly past five locations – Sengkang, Punggol, Bedok, Pasir Ris and Changi – before it travels along the East Coast to its designated endpoint.
The western route will similarly see the Chinook helicopter fly past five locations – Bukit Timah, Bukit Panjang, Kranji, Choa Chu Kang and Jurong – before it travels along the West Coast to conclude its flypast.
