What’s on Netflix Singapore’s weekly top 10 list from May 16 to 22

Musical comedy film 'Trolls World Tour' entered the films list while Japanese anime ‘Spy × Family’ entered the series list.

Netflix Singapore’s top 10 list this past week (May 16 to 22) had the animated comedy Trolls World Tour enter the movies list at 10th place, while Netflix original Senior Year moved up the list to the top spot from third place the previous week.  

The second installment in the franchise, Trolls World Tour follows the original pop-loving Trolls as they discover that five other tribes exist: Techno, Funk, Classical, Country and Hard Rock. The latter group, led by Queen Barb (Rachel Bloom), intends to “unite one nation of Trolls under rock” and it is up to Queen Poppy (Anna Kendrick) of the Pop Trolls to thwart Barb’s evil plan.

Other movies which earned a spot on the list for the first time this past week were Korean documentary Cyber Hell: Exposing an Internet Horror (third), action crime film Backtrace (fifth), romantic comedy A Perfect Pairing (sixth) and Hindi action drama RRR (ninth).

Historical war film Midway, Hindi crime drama Gangubai Kathiawadi, Tamil action comedy Beast and true crime documentary Our Father retained spots on the list.  

For TV shows, reality series Bling Empire: Season 2 and Chinese drama Who Rules The World: Season 1 swapped spots from the previous week, with the former earning the top spot this past week while the latter took second. 

Other series which retained spots on the list were  K-Dramas Tomorrow, Our Blues: Season 1, My Liberation Notes: Season 1, Business Proposal (into its 12th week on the list) and Korean horror series Happiness

Japanese anime Spy × Family: Season 1 entered the list at 10th place.

The anime series brings a spy, an assassin and a telepath together to pose as a family, each for their own reasons, while hiding their true identities from each other.

Other new entrants on the list were American legal drama The Lincoln Lawyer: Season 1 (fourth) and animated anthology series Love, Death & Robots: Volume 3 (ninth).
