What’s on Netflix Singapore’s weekly top 10 list from Mar 21 to 27

Action spy film 'Mission: Impossible – Fallout' and dark comedy movie 'The Dictator' were new entrants on the list.

Six films and three shows earned spots for the first time in Netflix Singapore’s top 10 list the past week (Mar 21 to 27). 

For movies, action spy film Mission: Impossible – Fallout earned a spot on the list.

A mission gone wrong forces Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and his team to work with the CIA and familiar faces, as they race to save the world from nuclear devastation.

This instalment of the franchise is considered to be the best by many critics who praised the movie’s direction, cinematography, action sequences, musical score and acting.

Other movie titles which got a spot on the list for the first time were Hindi-language sports drama ’83, post-apocalyptic action film Oblivion, prison action thriller Escape Plan, psychological thriller Windfall, and dark comedy The Dictator starring Sacha Baron Cohen.

Science fiction action film The Adam Project, Swedish action thriller film Black Crab, supernatural horror film The Unholy and biographical drama film Rescued by Ruby retained spots on the list from prior weeks.

For TV shows, K-Drama Business Proposal remained at the top spot while romantic series Bridgerton: Season 2 entered the list for the first time at second place.

The show is based on Julia Quinn’s series of romance novels and while season one adapted the events of the first book, season two fittingly takes inspiration from the second book, focusing on Daphne Bridgerton’s (Phoebe Dynevor) brother Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) and his pursuit of love.

Other shows getting into the top 10 for the first time were horror mystery Korean Drama The Cursed and the first season of cooking competition game show Is It Cake?.

South Korean legal drama Juvenile Justice, Taiwanese seriesLight the Night: Part 3, K-Dramas Forecasting Love and Weather, Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce): Season 3, Twenty Five Twenty One: Season 1 and Thirty-Nine retained spots on the list from past weeks.
