Netflix Singapore’s top 10 list this week consists of All of Us Are Dead, a Korean horror series, as well as romance scam documentary The Tinder Swindler taking the number one spots on the TV series and film list respectively.

The Tinder Swindler follows a con artist, Simon Leviev, as he swindles three women out of large sums of money and the ladies subsequent attempts at payback. Simon Leviev is believed to have scammed victims worldwide of an estimated US$10 million (S$13.4 million).

The film is the first ever documentary to hold the number one spot on Netflix’s weekly film chart, having 45.8 million hours viewed globally across the week Jan 31 to Feb 6, and hit the top 10 in 92 countries.

Returning to the top 10 list of movies for the week are action comedy RED 2 and sports comedy Home Team, both making the list for a second week in a row.

Action thrillers 13 Hours, The Island and 21 Bridges, action-adventure film Sahara, supernatural thriller The Rite, and war thriller Operation Chromite have all made it to the top 10 list for the first time.

Rounding up the film list while simultaneously entering it for the first time is 2019’s crime thriller, The Good Liar. Starring Helen Mirren and Ian McKellen, this movie is coincidentally also about a fraudster who gets more than he bargained for after attempting to defraud a seemingly innocent old lady.

For TV shows, the first season of horror series, All of Us Are Dead, takes the top spot for the second week running.

Two shows have come to the list for the first time. They are The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition: Season 1 in fourth place and In From the Cold: Season 1 in tenth place on the list.

In From the Cold follows Jenny Franklin (Margarita Levieva), a single mother who finds her life turned upside down when the CIA forces her to confront her long-buried past as a Russian spy — the product of a secret KGB experiment that endowed her with “special abilities.”

The Apprentice: ONE Championship Edition: Season 1 on the other hand invited 16 candidates handpicked from around the world to compete in a high-stakes game involving business and physical challenges. The winner receives a US$250,000 (S$336,000) job offer to work directly under ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for a year as his protege in Singapore.

Supernatural drama Manifest, the first season of K-Drama Our Beloved Summer and Taxi Driver, about a taxi company which offers a “luxury service” taking revenge against criminals, got spots on the list once again.
