Netflix Singapore’s top 10 list this week includes a rom-com and action thriller, along with a supernatural drama series reigning in the top spot for a few weeks running.

For movies, The Royal Treatment takes the top spot this week on Netflix Singapore’s top 10 movie list from Jan 17 to 23.

It tells of New York hairdresser Izzy (Laura Marano) who seizes the chance to work at the wedding of a charming prince (Mena Massoud), but when sparks between them fly, will love or duty prevail?

Part of the draw for the movie is likely due to its notable leads, with Massoud having played the titular role in Disney’s live-action remake of Aladdin, while Marano is known for her starring role on the Disney Channel series Austin and Ally.

A few movies have made it to the list for the first time. They are Indian Telugu-language period romantic drama Shyam Singha Roy, acclaimed Indonesian drama Photocopier, historical drama Munich – The Edge of War, Polish crime drama How I fell in Love with a Gangster and Riverdance: The Animated Adventure, a computer-animated adventure film inspired by the dance show Riverdance.

Returning to the top 10 list of movies for the week are action thriller Copshop, crime thriller Brazen, science fiction thriller Mother/Android and apocalyptic satire Don’t Look Up.

For TV shows, the first season of supernatural drama Manifest takes the top spot for the third week running.  Seasons two and three of the series got third and fourth on the list respectively.

K-Drama Our Beloved Summer remains on the weekly top 10 list for the sixth week consecutively while the first season of South Korean dating reality show Single’s Inferno stays on the list for the fifth week in a row.

A newcomer to the list for TV series is Archive 81: Season 1 about an archivist hired to restore a collection of tapes who finds himself reconstructing the work of a filmmaker and her investigation into a dangerous cult.

The other newcomer to the top 10 TV series list this week is Too Hot to Handle: Season 3, a reality television dating game show revolving around 10 adults being placed together in a house for four weeks, going through various workshops, all while being forbidden from any kissing, sexual contact or self-gratification.
