What’s on Netflix Singapore in May 2022
The first half of 'Stranger Things' season four and American musical film 'Footloose' are some of Netflix’s new offerings.
This May, Netflix Singapore is adding special movies to coincide with Hari Raya celebrations alongside new seasons of fan-favourite shows.
Here are five shows coming to on Netflix Singapore this May:
1. Footloose (2011)
Teenager Ren MacCormack moves from the city to a small town where rock music and dancing have been banned.
As he rebels against the town, Ren falls for a pastor’s daughter and together, they attempt to revive the happy times of the town.

The musical drama, which stars Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough, Miles Teller, Andie MacDowell and Dennis Quaid, will dance its way onto the streaming platform on May 1.
2. Stranger Things 4: Volume 1
The horror series set in 1980s Indiana returns for its fourth season. Six months after the Battle of Starcourt Mall, the show’s group of friends find themselves being apart for the first time.
With spring break approaching, the gang is looking forward to reuniting, but a new and horrifying supernatural threat emerges, presenting the young heroes with a chance to end the horrors of the Upside Down for good.

Season four will be split into two parts. Volume one is arriving on May 27 while volume two will be released on Jul 1.
3. Showtime 1958
This historical movie explores the story behind the iconic Selamat Hari Raya song.
The song was written backstage at Jalan Ampas Studio in April 1958 in Singapore, by the legendary P. Ramlee and Jamil Sulong.
The Malay drama movie cast includes Fatin Afeefa, Farah Ahmad, Henzi Andalas and Amai Kamarudin.

Catch a glimpse into the heyday of Malay cinema in Singapore when this movie releases on May 3.
4. The Flash: Season 7
The season follows Barry Allen as he tries to stop Eva McCulloch in her bid to take control of Central City while simultaneously finding a way to locate his missing wife, Iris West Allen.

Season seven will be added on May 3, and previous seasons are available to stream on the platform.
5. The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib
Serving as a follow-up for the film The Boss Baby: Family Business, this animated series sees adult Ted Templeton Jr. use Tina’s magical formula to turn himself back into the Boss Baby. But he soon realises that returning to BabyCorp is anything but child’s play.
It will consist of 12 episodes, each one running for 22 minutes.

Boss Baby: Back in the Crib is the second series of the franchise after Boss Baby: Back in Business, which premiered on Netflix in 2018.
Boss Baby: Back in the Crib will come to Netflix on May 19.
