What to watch on Disney+ Singapore in March

Highlights include season two of American medical comedy-drama Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. and true crime story Boston Strangler.

From true crime stories to Acadamy-Award nominated films, Disney+ is adding a variety of new shows to its platform. 

Here’s a look at the series and films you can expect on Disney+ in March. 

1. The Mandalorian: Season 3

Beginning five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and the fall of the Galactic Empire, The Mandalorian is an American space western television series that follows the journeys of the Mandalorian (played by Pedro Pascal) through the Star Wars galaxy.

After an emotional goodbye in season two, Din and Grogu will reunite in the latest season where they will meet old allies and make new enemies.

The third season of The Mandalorian premiered on Disney+ Singapore on Mar 1.

2. Banshees of Inisherin

In Banshees of Inisherin, two lifelong friends, Pádraic (played by Colin Farrell) and Colm (played by Brendan Gleeson) find themselves at a crossroads when Colm unexpectedly ends their friendship. 

With the help of his sister and troubled young islander Dominic, Pádraic hopes to repair the friendship he has built with Colm.

The film has been nominated for nine categories at the upcoming 95th Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

Banshees of Inisherin premieres on Disney+ Singapore on Mar 15.

3. Boston Strangler

Boston Strangler is a film based on a true crime story that follows the footsteps of reporter Loretta McLaughlin (played by Keira Knightley) as she becomes the first journalist to connect a series of murders and break the story of the Boston Strangler.

As she continues to investigate alongside Jean Cole (played by Carrie Coon), she finds herself working against prevalent sexism.

Boston Strangler premieres on Disney+ Singapore on Mar 17.

4. Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.: Season 2

Doogie Kamealoha is an American family medical comedy-drama that follows the life of Dr Lahela “Doofie” Kameloha (played by Peyton Elizabeth Lee), a 16-year-old prodigy, as she juggles the daily challenges of teenage life along with a budding medical career.

Her doting dad, Benny, and career-driven mom, Clara, worry that she is growing up too quickly. Throughout the series, fans get to catch Lahela as she forges her own path with the support of her caring, humorous family.

The second season of Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. premieres on Disney+ Singapore on Mar 31.

5. Big Bet

Fans who love watching K-dramas can catch the new hit crime series Big Bet.

The series revolves around a man who rises to the top as a casino kingpin in the Philippines, only to experience a series of unfortunate events afterward. 

The first episode of Big Bet first aired on Dec 21, 2022.

The finale episode for season two of Big Bet premieres on Disney+ Singapore on Mar 31.

Other shows launching on Disney+ in March include season three of Wu-Tang: An American Saga, Call It Love and season three of Godfather of Harlem. Viewers can also catch new episodes for season two of Star Wars: The Bad Batch and all 21 seasons of Family Guy.
