You can now take your first jab without prior appointment at any Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccination centre.
The Ministry of Health (MOH) announced on Monday (Aug 9) that from Aug 10, you can now walk in to any of Singapore’s 26 vaccination centres offering Pfizer-BioNTech/Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine without a prior appointment.
This applies to all Singaporeans, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders aged 12 years old and above who have yet to come forward receive their first dose.
The Comirnaty COVID-19 vaccine is essentially the same as the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine – manufactured according to the same processes and procedures and meeting the same finished product specifications.
Since mid-July, seniors aged 60 and above have been allowed to walk into any vaccination centre to receive their vaccination without an appointment.
From Aug 2, walk-ins have also been accepted at any of Singapore’s 11 community vaccination centres offering the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine for Singaporeans, permanent residents, and long-term pass holders aged 18 years old and above.
MOH urges all who are eligible to get vaccinated as the Vaccination remains a key enabler in Singapore’s fight against COVID-19.
As of Aug 8, 70 per cent of the population have completed their full vaccination regimen under the national vaccination programme, and 79 per cent of the population have received at least one dose.
