Trolls musical show to premiere in Universal Studios Singapore’s Hollywood Zone; features new and classic pop hits
'Trolls: Hug Time Jubilee’ will also feature Cloud Guy, who will make his debut appearance in a Universal Studios theme park.
Fans of the animated film Trolls can soon embark on a musical adventure with their favourite characters at Universal Studios Singapore (USS) from Friday (Sep 15).
The theme park has introduced a new daily show titled DreamWorks’ Trolls: Hug Time Jubilee. It features characters such as Queen Poppy, Branch and Guy Diamond, who will offer a musical experience and entertainment.
The new show will also mark the first time prankster Cloud Guy will make his appearance in a Universal Studios theme park.
At the Hollywood Pantages Theatre, a live production based on DreamWorks’ Trolls will unfold.
Queen Poppy and Branch are on a quest to find a singing sensation to headline the Hug Time Jubilee – a grand celebration of singing, dancing and embraces.
Participants, decked out in glittering costumes, will compete for the number one spot belting out chart-topping hits. Cloud Guy, voiced by Trolls director and voice actor, Walt Dohrn, will also join in on the action.
As the competition intensifies, Queen Poppy and Branch engage in a debate over who deserves to win.
The show will be performed multiple times throughout the day. Guests can check the showtime board and official Universal Studios Singapore app for showtimes.
Trolls: Hug Time Jubilee at Universal Studios Singapore is also a prelude to the Trolls Band Together film that is slated for release on Nov 2. The film centres around Poppy and Branch, characters from the previous Trolls films who have officially become a couple. As their relationship deepens, Poppy learns of Branch’s hidden past.
Trolls Band Together will incorporate the Trolls’ characteristic blend of vibrant and nostalgic pop songs.
The film will also introduce new characters to the franchise, with an ensemble cast that includes notable individuals.
This includes Latin Grammy winner Camila Cabello, Zosia Mamet from The Flight Attendant as Crimp, and drag icon RuPaul Charles.
Admission to Trolls: Hug Time Jubilee is included with regular admission to Universal Studios Singapore.
