Train and bus services extended by SMRT on Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve
No need to spend on private-hire car and taxi fares.
Those planning to stay out late on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve can celebrate knowing that they won’t need to pay for the exorbitant surge prices on private-hire cars.
The operation timings for some MRT and bus services will be extended on Dec 24 and 31 in anticipation of commuters who will travel late.
Train services on the North-South, East West, Circle and Thomson-East Coast lines will end later, said SMRT. Similarly, selected bus services from Choa Chu Kang, Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub and Bukit Panjang will be extended.
Christmas Eve
On the North-South Line, the last train service from Orchard towards Jurong East and Marina South Pier will depart at 1.15am.
On the East-West Line, the last train service from City Hall towards Pasir Ris and Tuas Link will depart at 1.21am.
On the Circle Line, those heading to Harbourfront from Dhoby Ghaut can take the last train service departing at 12.47am. The last train service in the opposite direction will leave Habourfront at 12.43am
On the Thomson-East Coast Line, the last train service from Woodlands North towards Gardens by the Bay will depart at 12.42am, while the last train service from Gardens by the Bay towards Woodlands North will depart from 1.05am.
The last bus services for numbers 300, 301, 302, 307 and 983A from Choa Chu Kang interchange, and numbers 901, 911, 912A, 912B and 913 from Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub will depart at 2.15am.
Bus services 920, 922, 973A from Bukit Panjang Interchange will operate till 2.25am.
New Year’s Eve
On the North-South Line, the last train service from City Hall towards Jurong East will depart at 2.15am, while the last train service from City Hall towards Marina South Pier will depart from 1.57am.
On the East-West Line, the last train services from City Hall towards Pasir Ris and Tuas Link will depart at 2.15am.
On the Circle Line, the last train service from Dhoby Ghaut towards Harbourfront will depart at 1.41am, while the last train service from Harbourfront to Dhoby Ghaut will depart at 1.38am.
Those heading to Woodlands North on the Thomson-East Coast Line from Gardens by the Bay can take the last train service departing at 2.10am, while the last train service in the opposite direction will depart at 1.47am.
The last service for bus numbers 300, 301, 302, 307 and 983A from Choa Chu Kang Interchange, and bus numbers 920, 922 and 973A from Bukit Panjang Interchange, will depart at 3.25am.
The last service for bus numbers 901, 911, 912A, 912B and 913 will depart from Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub at 3.10am.


There will be no extension of service on both days for the Bukit Panjang LRT service and Changi Airport service.
