Tony-nominated ‘& Juliet’ musical to make Asian premiere in Singapore

Jukebox musical & Juliet will be making its Asian debut in Singapore from Sep 21 to Oct 8.

Previously performing on Broadway and West End, the Tony Award-nominated musical will be coming to Singapore’s Sands Theatre at Marina Bay Sands for a “strictly limited season”.

& Juliet takes inspiration from Shakespeare’s classic tale of Romeo and Juliet and “remixed” it with iconic pop songs like Baby One More Time, Since U Been Gone and I Kissed A Girl to tell a story of self-discovery, empowerment and love.

It reimagines the love story and what would happen if Juliet did not die for Romeo but instead finds love again “on her terms”.

Over the course of the humorous musical, Juliet will pave her own path outside of her famous tragic ending in the original story, leaving audiences wondering if she will find love again.

Since its world premiere in September 2019 in England, & Juliet has won three Olivier Awards and broken box office records in Toronto.

Singapore will be & Juliet’s only Asian stop and is presented locally by Base Entertainment Asia.

The musical will be performed on Tuesdays to Fridays at 8pm, Saturdays at 2pm and 8pm, as well as Sundays at 1pm and 6.30pm. Ticket prices range from $68 to $198, and can be bought now from Marina Bay Sands’ website, SISTIC and Trip.com. & Juliet is rated Restricted 18 (R18).
