Three Hari Raya outfit ideas styled with pieces from the UNIQLO Hana Tajima collection and Raya occasion wear selection
UNIQLO has launched the Hana Tajima and Hari Raya collection for both women and men respectively.
Hari Raya clothes shopping is not as easy as one might think. The colour coordination and designs are some of the factors that one might need to consider before making any purchases.
Over the years, some Hari Raya occasion wear have also incorporated contemporary twists in the cutting and designs.
This Hari Raya, UNIQLO – known for its modern and versatile clothing items – have launched the Hana Tajima collection for women as well as other Hari Raya essentials such as Batik tops for men.
Here are some ideas to help you piece together an outfit for Hari Raya this year using items from the versatile collections.
1. The first day of visiting
Starting off strong with the festive colour, these green-toned outfits will suit your first day of Hari Raya plans such as visiting close relatives.

The women’s HPJ Camisole Flare Dress creates an A-line silhouette making it look flattering on the body. The addition of the HPJ Printed Stole also helps to elevate the simplicity of the dress with a pop of colour.
The men’s Batik Motive Short Sleeve Shirt can be matched with a Slim Fit Chino Pants to provide maximum comfortability especially when you are feasting and travelling from house to house.
2. Casual but sophisticated look
For those instances when you are visiting your friends or attending a last-minute gathering, these outfits might do the trick. Despite requiring minimal effort, a clean and presentable look can still be achieved.

If you feel like wearing something breathable and light, the women’s HPJ Textured Cotton Volume Short Sleeve Dress is an option you can look into. If you do not wish to use the stole as a scarf, you can simply create a headband with it and it will help to give an extra touch to the look.
For men, if you feel like wearing something casual, try combining a plain t-shirt with the batik top. You can choose to either button it halfway or to fully unbutton the batik top to feature the t-shirt.
To make the outfit look sleeker, pairing it with the Smart Ankle 2Way Stretch Pants can help to elevate the look altogether as it creates a balance between a casual top and a neat bottom.
3. When you want to feel ‘extra put together’
Planning to visit quite a number of houses during that specific day? You might want to try to pick out a stylish yet comfortable outfit.

The women’s HPJ Cotton Dobby Belted Short Sleeve Dress comes with a sash that can be tied to the back, creating an outerwear-like outfit. The printed tiered skirt is part of the Paul & Joe collection and with this combination, it helps to create a vintage look.
Another way to wear the Smart Ankle Pants is by pairing it with a long sleeve shirt such as the Soft Twill Stand Collar Long Sleeve Shirt from UNIQLO.
As part of the men’s Hari Raya collection, UNIQLO will also launch a range of baju melayu which comes in both collarless and stand collar.
Besides just a plain long sleeve shirt, you can also pair the pants with the baju melayu or any baju kurung you have.
The Hana Tajima collection is available online and in selected stores such as Orchard Central Global Flagship, 51@AMK, ION Orchard and Tampines Mall only. Some of the collection pieces will be available at the other UNIQLO stores.
As for the men’s Hari Raya collection — Batik Motif Short Sleeve Shirt and baju melayu are available online and in limited stores from late April.
These clothing pieces can be worn beyond the Hari Raya festivities as they can be styled in various ways, making them a versatile and staple piece in your wardrobe.
