The Hidden Good to bring back Dating For Good initiative this February
Participating individuals will be matched by common interests.
Amid the plethora of dating apps like Tinder and Bumble that populate our phone’s app store, it is hard to have the personal touch, much less in these pandemic times.
For the month of February, local community agency The Hidden Good (THG) seeks to physically bring together individuals looking for a romantic connection, with a good cause attached to it.
THG has brought back its initiative Dating For Good, with a slew of programmes and collaborations happening throughout the month. Dating For Good is a community-building initiative that matches individuals through compatibility questionnaires centred around, as the name suggests, a passion to do good.
THG announced through its Facebook page that $5 from each participation fee will be donated to various charities and non-profit organisations.
Since its inception in February last year, the initiative has raised over $3,700 of donations from participation fees.
Below are the locations that seeking romantics can look forward to this month!
The Caffeine Experience, Ambling Turtle and La Boca Bistro Bar
THG has partnered with several F&B outlets that offer various social experiences alongside its good cause.

The $5 donations from the events at these eateries will be donated to S17 Community Kitchen, which will prepare 500 free meals weekly for elderly residing in rental flats.
Club 5 and Portman’s Bar
For singles looking for a more refined setting, Pan Pacific Hotels Group offers its venues Club 5 and Portman’s Bar.

Donations from dining at its outlets will be matched dollar-for-dollar to charity organisations Autism Resource Centre, Movement for the Intellectual Disabled of Singapore and Extraordinary People Limited.
Art Jam sessions at Wildflower Studio
Beyond satisfying tummies, there are activities worth a feast for the eyes.
Wildflower Studio has prepared semi-guided art jam sessions for the initiative, along with its resident cats to enliven the atmosphere.

Just like the aforementioned eateries, the donations from each art session will also support S17 Community Kitchen’s free meal preparations as well.
Pasir Ris Mangrove Nature Tours
Tour organiser 7 Wonders Travels and Tours has also joined the lineup with its Pasir Ris Mangrove Nature Tours.

Donations from its tours will also aid S17 Community Kitchen’s work.
The participation fees range from $45 to $50 per event, taking into account the $5 donation.
Events are happening throughout the month, with dates from Feb 4 through to Feb 27.
Seeking individuals can sign up for their desired event via THG’s website, after which they would be paired through compatibility questionnaires. Conversation starters and information on social causes of the month will be provided for the matched events.
A fully vaccinated status is required by the dates of the events in order to participate.
