The Hawkeye trailer just dropped – and it’s not what we expected
Fans can expect an early Christmas present this year, as the series will drop on Nov 24.
After years of anticipation, Hawkeye is finally getting his own series. Interestingly, the title refers both to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Hawkeye – Clint Barton – and Kate Bishop, who fans would know as Hawkeye on Earth-616 and as a member of the Young Avengers.
Clint, played by Jeremy Renner, had his entire family turned to dust when Thanos snapped half the universe out of existence during Avengers: Infinity War. In his grief, he turned to hunting down criminals as the vigilante Ronin, up until the events of Avengers: Endgame.
The new trailer shows Clint reuniting with his family after the blip for their first Christmas together in five years.
Their festivities get derailed when someone starts dealing out vigilante justice, wearing his Ronin suit. He tracks them down and unmasks them- only to find it’s Kate, played by Hailee Steinfeld, a young archer who’s following in his footsteps.
Now, the two of them must work together to defeat those hunting them down while trying to get Clint back to his family in time for Christmas, all to the tune of It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year by Andy Williams.
Hawkeye will be released on Disney+ on Nov 24.
