Temasek Foundation giving away reusable N95 masks from Jan 10
The masks will last up to seven months if taken care of properly.
Temasek Foundation is giving away reusable N95 masks to Singapore residents from Jan 10 to Jan 23.
The cloth masks have N95-grade filtration inside it, which have a Particle Filtration Efficiency of over 95 per cent and will stay as efficient for up to 30 washes.
The water repellent mask can be rinsed in cold water once a week or when dirty, and should not be bleached, soaped or soaked. Instead of wringing the mask, it should be dripped dry indoors.
These measures are to ensure that the masks stay efficient for as long as possible.
All Singaporean residents can collect one mask each, which will be available at the #StayMasked vending machines around the island. Citizens can scan the barcodes on their IDs or manually input their NRICs.
The masks can be pre-ordered online for $13 each. Each customer can order up to five masks.
The masks come in medium and large sizes. The sizing system is different from the previous government-issued masks. They are designated for adults and older teenagers, with no sizing for children. The size fit can be found on this site.
Collection starts on Jan 10 at 10am and will last until Jan 23 at 11.59pm.
Mask pre-orders will open on Jan 10 and close on Jan 22.
