In celebration of the Year of the Ox (or bull), LiHO has partnered with Red Bull to create two new tantalising fruit tea flavours – The Red Bull Passion Cooler and the Red Bull Mango Booster.

The Red Bull Passion Cooler consists of passion fruit, grapefruit and a whole can of Red Bull. For the Red Bull Mango Booster, it contains mangoes, berries, lime and Red Bull, of course.

Both drinks cost $7.50 each and are only available in large size.

Instead of choosing sugar levels, you can choose between having the original Red Bull Energy Drink or Red Bull Sugarfree in your fruit tea. You can also add toppings such as pearls, as you please.

I decided to go with the original Red Bull flavour for both fruit teas and chose not to add toppings as I felt that the drink already had enough texture and flavour as it is.

Upon first sip, the Passion Cooler tasted refreshing. The slight bitterness from the grapefruit complements and balances out the sweetness of the Red Bull drink.

As I don’t usually like having whole passion fruit seeds in my drinks, I liked that they grounded the seeds into tinier pieces for an added crunch which didn’t get in the way while I was drinking it.

The Mango Booster is sweeter and you can definitely taste hints of sourness from the lime. However, I felt that the Red Bull taste clashed with the fruit flavours in this drink as it was rather sweet, yet had a sudden sour aftertaste.

Overall, I prefer the Passion Cooler over the Mango Booster, despite mango being one of my favourite fruits.

Having a slushie texture, these drinks are more refreshing as there is extra crunch from the blended ice that isn’t too thick and thankfully, it doesn’t taste watered down.

Although I don’t rely on caffeine to give me energy, I definitely see the appeal in Red Bull bubble tea as a drink to keep you energised while also tasting good (just take note the drinks won’t be giving you wings, in case you’re wondering).

After a long arduous day, there’s nothing better than refreshing your mind and body with a cool drink.

If you’re looking for something that will perk up your tastebuds and give you energy, the Red Bull x LiHO fruit teas are coming to all LiHO outlets on 6 Feb.
