Tanjong Pagar United were rewarded for their outstanding form in March, with Hasrin Jailani and Mirko Šugić picking up awards.

Hasrin was named the Singapore Premier League (SPL) Coach of the Month, while Mirko picked up the Player of the Month award.

The team went unbeaten in the league last month with the Croatian starting in all three games, picking up two goals and an assist.

They were the only team to remain undefeated in the 2022 SPL season, until suffering a 6-1 defeat to league leaders Lion City Sailors last weekend.

Albirex Niigata’s 23 year-old forward Kodai Tanaka was named the Young Player of the Month, after bagging six goals and an assist in just three games.

The Japanese youngster is also the current top scorer for Albirex Niigata, having scored seven times in seven games this season.

The Goal of the Month was awarded to Hougang United’s Andre Moritz for his crucial wonder goal from the half-way line against Geylang International on Mar 11.

The Brazilian’s audacious effort in the 90th-minute of the game came straight from the restart, after Geylang scored an equaliser in the game. The Cheetahs eventually went on to secure a 3-2 victory, which was the team’s first of the season.
