Tampines North Bus Interchange to open on Nov 27; certain bus routes amended
The interchange is designed to be more accessible and conducive for mobility-challenged commuters, parents with young children and seniors.
The Tampines North Bus Interchange is set to open on Nov 27, announced the Land Transport Authority in a press release on Monday (Oct 31).
Located along Tampines Street 62, the interchange is designed to be more accessible and conducive for mobility-challenged commuters, parents with young children and seniors.
Commuters can expect amenities such as wheelchair-accessible toilets, an accessible changing room and a separate baby care room.
There will also be a commuter care room providing a “quiet and calming space” for those with sensory needs.

The interchange will feature barrier-free access at all entrances and a reverse warning system that detects the movement of buses from the parking lot to the driveway.
It will also have staff amenities such as dedicated staff toilets, a cleaner’s room and a staff lounge.

Bus services 18 and 129 will see route extensions and operate from Tampines North Bus Interchange. They will no longer call at Tampines Concourse Bus Interchange.
Service 18 will also be amended to serve Tampines Avenue 9, Tampines North Drive 1 and Tampines Avenue 6. Service 18 within Bedok will be amended to ply Bedok North Avenue 4, providing commuters with direct connectivity to Bedok Reservoir MRT station.
Service 129 will serve Tampines Concourse, Tampines Avenue 9, Tampines Avenue 12 and Tampines North Drive 2.
Service 298’s route will also be extended to operate from Tampines North Bus Interchange at a later date.
