Swensen’s launches nasi lemak ice cream cake this Ramadan
The restaurant will also offer a limited Hari Raya menu with new dishes.
Swensen’s launched a Nasi Lemak ice cream cake inspired by the local cuisine on Apr 1, available for a limited time for the Ramadan season.
Confirming in a Facebook post that this was not an April Fool’s Joke, Swensen’s said the cake is layered with coconut ice cream and kueh salat, a pandan-flavoured kueh made out of sticky rice and custard.
It is then topped with a “fried chicken” drumstick that is actually made of ice cream, sunny side up egg and sambal chilli made of fondant, and sprinkled with roasted peanuts. The “fried chicken” ice cream has a chocolate “bone”, ice cream filling and a crispy coating of cornflakes and wafers.

The 600g nasi lemak ice cream cake is available for both pick-up and delivery from now until May 15, at a base price of $53.80.
Interested customers can also check out Swensen’s larger selection of limited Ramadan specials, including its ondeh-ondeh cake ($29.80 for two), nasi lemak burger (from $15.80), king prawn pasta goreng (from $15.80), and pisang goreng keju (from $12.80).
