Sun & Sand Sports opens first SEA store in Singapore; opening weekend offers, installations available May 19-21

A new sports retailer and distributor has landed in Singapore from the Middle East and set up shop in Raffles City. 

Spanning 11,000 sq ft, Sun & Sands Sports’ (SSS) new store is an “experiential space” featuring fitness and lifestyle products from over 21 brands. It is also the first of its kind opened in Southeast Asia.

Visitors can expect to try on a variety of sports shoes while exploring the store, alongside a 3D foot scanner that provides personalised and in-depth analysis on a person’s feet. They would then be advised by SSS’ staff on the kinds of shoes they should opt for in the future.

Visitors can also try their hand at making their own sporting and fitness products at a customisation zone.

The store also covers a wide range of athleisure suited for athletics, swimming and hiking. The brands being featured in this range include the likes of Nike, Adidas, Puma, Under Armour and New Balance.

On the third floor of Raffles City, there is a limited-time installation where visitors can pop by to play a game of FIFA or NBA, a miniature football match, and a simulated game experience that gets visitors to exercise on a treadmill while playing an arcade-like mini game.

In celebration of SSS’ opening weekend, visitors can enjoy store offers and rewards.

On Saturday (May 20), the first 50 walk-in customers will be rewarded with $30 cash vouchers that can be used to purchase any regular-priced item in the store.

Those that spend $60 and above on SSS products have a chance to win gift vouchers and shoes at a claw machine. Sporting products or vouchers worth up to $6,700 are up for grabs.

Interested visitors can also participate in a social media contest over opening weekend. From now to May 21, they have to follow @sssportssg on Instagram or TikTok, post pictures or videos of either the Raffles City store or its installations, and tag the store in the post with the hashtag #ShowThemYou and #SSSrafflescity.

Ten lucky contest winners can each win a $100 cash voucher.

More stores are to be opened locally at Bugis+ and Westgate in the coming months, and the brand plans on riding “this sporting journey with the community for professional and rising athletes alike”.

SSS’ first store in Singapore is located at #02-03/04 of Raffles City, 252 Bridge Road. It is nearby City Hall MRT, and operates daily from 10am to 10pm.
