Paying homage to two well-loved Indian and Malay dishes, Subway Singapore has unveiled the new Chicken Tandoori sub and Bandung cookie.

The latest additions to the menu are available at participating Subway restaurants islandwide from Mar 31 to May 30.

Available as a sub, salad, or wrap, Subway’s Chicken Tandoori features “tender chicken strips glazed in aromatic seasoning”.

Widely consumed in Singapore, South Asia and the Middle East, tandoori chicken hails from Punjab, India and was popularised in the 1940s.

Marinated in yoghurt and a spice blend that includes cayenne pepper, red chilli powder, garlic, ginger, onion and garam masala, the dish gets its name from the cylindrical clay oven it is cooked in.

In celebration of the Hari Raya Season, Subway Singapore has also released a new local flavoured cookie – the Bandung cookie.

The cookie consist of condensed milk and rose syrup.

Around since the 20th century, Bandung is consumed typically during Iftar and at wedding receptions. It has now become a household drink served in many homes and restaurants.

The Chicken Tandoori sub and Bandung cookie will be available at participating Subway Singapore restaurants and across delivery platforms GrabFood, Foodpanda and Deliveroo from Apr 1.
