Subway brings back the Black Pepper Sub for CNY

The sandwich chain is hosting a photo contest.

Sandwich lovers can look forward to the return of a seasonal special at Subway from Jan 19 to Mar 29.

Named the Black Pepper Sub, it will be available on Subway’s menu in two forms, chicken and beef.

The old-time favourite first appeared back in August 2018 in its chicken iteration. As its name suggests, the patty was infused with black pepper and drizzled with black pepper sauce.

This time round, the sandwich chain has not just replaced the chicken patty with chicken strips, but also whipped out a new version with beef steak, as well as a Peach Oolong Cookie to sweeten the deal.

Along with the black pepper sandwiches, Subway is hosting a photo contest on its Instagram page from Jan 19 to Jan 27.

Daily winners will receive a limited-edition Subway Longevity Box, and one of the eight winners will eventually get the grand cash prize of $888.

The Black Pepper Sub and Peach Oolong Cookie can be found at all Subway branches islandwide and via delivery through Deliveroo, Grabfood and Foodpanda.
