An upcoming tourism development by the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) at Jurong Lakeside will see a new hotel with about 350 rooms and more retail and dining experiences.

Estimated to be completed by 2040 to 2050, the new development will be located adjacent to Jurong Lake Gardens and the new Science Centre, which will be relocated to the vicinity of Chinese Garden MRT and open by 2025.

This mix of entertainment and attractions in the West will see the creation of 100,000 new jobs and 20,000 new homes in the area.

According to STB, the tourism development will attract footfall from existing and new residents in the area and benefit from the vibrancy of Jurong Lake District when it is fully developed.

STB is inviting interested investors, developers and intellectual property owners around the globe to participate and share their proposals for the development.

The brief for the tender submission can be found here.
