Sneaker exhibition, Sneakertopia, to debut in Asia at ArtScience Museum from Feb 25
The exhibition will feature over 100 limited-edition sneakers.
Over 100 limited-edition sneakers will be featured at the Asian debut of Sneakertopia held at the ArtScience Museum from Feb 25 to Jul 30.
Organised by interior design company SPACElogic and partners Gushcloud International and SL Experiences, the exhibition held at the ArtScienceMuseum aims to spotlight creative practices across Singapore and Southeast Asia.
Prior to its debut in Asia, Sneakertopia was launched in Los Angeles back in 2019, and offered two smaller pop-up experiences at the Chongqing Jiebeifang International Consumer Festival in China in 2021 and Culture Cartel in Singapore last year.
To offer insights into the regional street culture scene, 16 Singaporeans and locally-based creatives, including artists Jahan Loh, Sam Lo, Soph O, Kristal Melson, Juls and design collective PHUNK, will showcase some of their work at the exhibition.
Sneaker enthusiasts can also expect works by 13 top United States creatives such as McFlyy, Michael Murphy and Mimi Yoon, who explore American pop and street culture through their pieces.
Another highlight visitors can look forward to are works by sneaker designer smoluk and Los Angeles artist Tommii Lim, who will create novel pieces specially for this edition of Sneakertopia.
Tickets are available from Jan 26 at all Marina Bay Sands box offices and its website.
Singaporean Residents can purchase tickets for the exhibition at $18 per adult, and $50 for a family package of four, while standard tickets can be purchased at $21 and $58 respectively.
For seniors, students and persons with disabilities, tickets for Sneakertopia can be purchased at a concession rate of $14 for Singaporeans, and $16 at a standard rate.
