Sneak peeks of LEGO’s new collaborations with Harry Potter, Adidas Originals
Potterheads are treated to a new 5,544-piece Diagon Alley LEGO set, while sneakerheads anticipate the arrival of the LEGO x Adidas ZX 8000.
LEGO fans have plenty to look forward to this year as the Danish brand has just rolled out two exciting collaborations over the past few weeks.
Relive your memories of the magical world of Harry Potter with LEGO’s new 5,544-piece Diagon Alley set.
Released on Sep 1, the new set is a huge upgrade from the previous 2011 release.
Featuring four never-before-released LEGO minifigures — Gilderoy Lockhart, Florean Fortescue, Lucius Malfoy and the Daily Prophet photographer — the set also includes familiar faces like Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy, Ginny Weasley, Molly Weasley, Fred and George Weasley, and Ollivander.

With the whole stretch spanning more than a metre, Potterheads can look forward to piecing together Diagon Alley’s mysterious shopfronts in order or mix them up as desired.
The shops also feature intricate details from all eight movies, allowing everyone to immerse themselves into the world of Harry Potter.
“The set is somewhat of a magical hybrid. It’s a rich and versatile display model, but it also has a modular aspect that allows fans to choose how to display each shop.
“One can display them all in a row or choose to swap them around,” said LEGO on its website.
The set will cost about S$600 at any LEGO Certified Store.

If you don’t have the patience to piece the Diagon Alley set brick by brick, another upcoming LEGO collaboration to look forward to is LEGO x Adidas Originals.
Adidas released a teaser for its new ZX 8000 sneakers on Sep 3, featuring LEGO’s iconic brick colours of blue, green, red and yellow.

While no release date has been set for this collaboration just yet, sneak peeks of the sneaker’s designs have caught the attention of both sneakerheads and LEGO fans.
