Leading Korean talent agency SM Entertainment announced on Monday (Dec 27) that they are debuting a new supergroup called Girls On Top (GOT), with GOT The Beat as its first sub-unit.

The unit consists of solo artist BoA, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Red Velvet’s Wendy and Seulgi and aespa’s Karina and Winter.

They will make their debut stage on Jan 1 at SM Entertainment’s new year concert ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS@KWANGYA’ before releasing their new song Step Back on Jan 3 at 5pm SGT.

While project units are nothing new from SM Entertainment, GOT is the agency’s second supergroup to be formed, following the highly successful SuperM.

The boy group debuted on Oct 4, 2019 with members of SHINee, EXO, NCT 127 and WayV.
