The Singtel-Singapore Cancer Society Race Against Cancer is returning in physical and virtual form from Sep 18 to 25, after a two year hiatus due to the pandemic.

This year’s edition of the annual fundraising event by the Singapore Cancer Society (SCS) aims to raise $1.25 million to fund cancer treatment subsidies, welfare assistance and cancer rehabilitation among other initiatives.

The physical race will be held on Sep 18, 7am at East Coast Park’s Angsana Green. It features three different distance categories – 5km, 10km and 15km.

Participants also can take part in virtual race challenges held from Sep 18 to 25, consisting of five different categories – 5km, 10km, 15km, 21km and 42km along with a host of novelty fun competitions.

Interested participants can register for the races via their website. Registration is open until Sep 4 and Sep 17 for the physical and virtual races respectively.

There will be no registration fee, as participants are instead encouraged to set up a  fundraiser page to raise a minimum amount for their respective categories.
