Singapore’s public holidays in 2024 to include 5 long weekends
There will be a total of 11 public holidays in 2024.
Singapore will enjoy five long weekends in 2024, according to the Ministry of Manpower’s (MOM) announcement of gazetted public holiday on Wednesday (May 24).
Of the 11 public holidays next year, five will be part of long weekends that are three days long.
The first two days of Chinese New Year will fall on a Saturday (Feb 10) and Sunday (Feb 11). This means that the following Monday (Feb 12) will be a public holiday.
The other three-day weekends include Good Friday (Mar 29) and National Day (Aug 9), which both fall on Fridays, as well as New Year’s Day (Jan 1) and Hari Raya Haji (Jun 17), which both fall on Mondays.
The other five public holidays include Hari Raya Puasa (Apr 10), Labour Day (May 1), Vesak Day (May 22) and Christmas (Dec 25), which will all fall on Wednesdays, and Deepavali (Oct 31) that will be on a Thursday.
