Singapore’s biggest winter-themed attraction will open on Dec 1 at Bayfront Event Space

Singapore’s biggest winter-themed attraction, Ice Magic – Fantasy on Ice, will welcome visitors from Dec 1 to Jan 1, 2023. 

This 2,400 sq m winter playground is a part of The Great Bay Fiesta held at Bayfront Event Space.

Visitors will be able to enjoy real ice and snow activities under a 11.5m indoor tentage. The pop-up attraction will also include an Ice Bar and a pop-up cafe. 

Snow-making machines that were used in the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022 will be flown in to provide visitors with the authentic experience of real snow in the Snow Section. 

For 20 days prior to the opening, the snow machines will pump out white snow “even cleaner than natural snow found in wintering countries”.

Visitors can try to build a snowman, make snow angels, and bounce off “snow clouds” in the Snow Section. The longest and tallest snow slope ever constructed in Singapore will also be present in this section. 

Those who would like to try their hand out at the classic Winter Olympic sport of ice curling will be able to do so at the Ice Section. 

There will also be single and tandem bikes in a 260 sq m ice cycling rink available in this section. 

The highlight of the Ice section will be a figure-of-eight 4.5m-high ice slide. This slide is constructed fully out of ice and complemented by elaborate ice sculptures.

Those who wish to kick back and relax can do so at the Ice Bar, with its variety of ice cold beers and custom ice-themed cocktails. 

Visitors who are looking for a warm drink or toasty treats can head on over to the pop-up cafe, hosted by Chocolate Origin. As the event’s presenting sponsor, they will serve their signature hot chocolate and chocolate desserts for guests to enjoy. 

Adult tickets are priced at $45, while tickets for local students cost $40. Children aged between two to 12 will pay $35 for admission, and there are also two family bundles available.
