Fully vaccinated Singaporeans can travel to Batam and Bintan without quarantine via Singapore and Indonesia’s travel bubble starting from Feb 18, said Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto

Those interested to have a getaway trip to these islands can only travel within Nongsa in Batam, and Lagoi in Bintan.

Anddy Fong, Chairman of Nongsa Sensation, a group of resorts in Nongsapura, also added that they will only operate one ferry each day. Each ferry can take a maximum of 120 passengers due to COVID-19 health protocols.

Travellers will have to show their negative Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) tests, as well as a visa to enter the islands. Proof of confirmation and payment of the travel package is also required.

PCR tests have to be taken three days before departing Singapore, and another test will be done upon arrival in Batam or Bintan.

Visitors will have to use Indonesia’s tracing applications, PeduliLindungi and BluePass throughout their stay in the travel bubble zone.

They will also need to purchase health insurance that will cover up to $30,000 worth of COVID-19 treatment and medical expenses.
