In less than 24 hours after the highly anticipated McDonald’s BTS Meal was released on Monday (Jun 21), Singaporean fashion stylist Josiah Chua created his own custom sneakers using the meal’s purple packaging.

Josiah made full use of the Chicken McNuggets box, drink cup and sauce tubs into a pair of Nike Air Max Plus sneakers. The stylish kicks quickly went viral and were even featured on @Hypebeastkicks, Hypebeast’s Instagram dedicated to sneakers with over 2.5 million followers.

Josiah said it took about five to six BTS meal sets to create the design.

“I had some sneaker soles lying around from another project and decided to create a super cool version but with the packaging instead,” Josiah said.

Josiah used the Air Max model as a base and he cut up the panels from the McNugget box and drink cup to decorate the sneakers. The cups are also wrapped around the ankle to elevate the look.

These sneakers are also functional with a holster at the ankle of the shoe to store nuggets. The meal’s Cajun and Sweet Chili sauces are added onto the laces.

Josiah’s post of the sneakers have gotten over 14,000 likes and 600 comments. Most comments were about how the users love the creativity displayed by Josiah.

We’re definitely lovin’ it!
