The highly anticipated inauguration of Mr Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States took place on Wednesday (Jan 20) at 1am Singapore time.

Happening at the US Capitol building in Washington DC, the ceremony was graced by music stars such as Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez, who performed to commemorate the event.

Lenny Wee, 37, a US-based Singaporean music arranger and orchestrator, was amongst the relatively small number of people attending the ceremony.

In fact, he was the music director for J.Lo’s musical segment at the ceremony.

He watched on as the superstar performed folk song This Land is Your Land and another patriotic song America the Beautiful

Lenny mentioned in a Facebook post that he was happy to be part of such a historic day and proud to represent all immigrants residing in the US.

The former student of Anglo-Chinese Junior College has been in the industry since 2008, following his graduation from the Berklee College of Music in Boston.

He has also worked on music for other major American events such as the Grammys and Oscars, as well as TV shows such as American Idol.
