Singapore wrestler Dante Chen wins second WWE match in a row
The 25-year-old defeated Malik Blade on WWE 205 Live.
Fresh off his victory in his debut match, Singapore’s first wrestler in World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Dante Chen added another win after defeating Malik Blade on Friday night (Oct 1).
The 25-year-old made his debut on NXT but his latest showing was a first on 205 Live – another brand under the WWE franchise, specifically for cruiserweight wrestlers that weigh 93kg or less.
After struggling for the first two minutes of the brawl, during which Dante was under immense pressure to submit from an armlock by Malik, the Singaporean eventually managed to turn the tide around and retaliated with a couple of swift blows.
Once the pendulum swung in his favour, Dante wrapped up victory with his now signature finisher – an inside cradle guillotine drop.
Dante had previously wrestled under the name of Trexxus for Singapore Pro Wrestling and was its Southeast Asia Champion.
