Singapore women’s football team to play Hong Kong twice in Women’s ‘A’ International Friendlies series this June
A provisional squad of 29 players have been called up to compete in the friendlies.
The Singapore women’s football national team will face Hong Kong in two Women’s ‘A’ International Friendlies on Jun 23 and 26 as part of the squad’s preparation for the upcoming ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Women’s Championship 2022.
The Lionesses, who are currently ranked 135th, will face 75th-ranked Hong Kong at the Jalan Besar Stadium. Both matches will kick off at 8pm.
National team head coach Stephen Ng has named a provisional squad of 29 players, of which 11 hail from Lion City Sailors at club level.
The squad also includes four players from Still Aerion Women’s, three from Balestier Khalsa, two from Tanjong Pagar United and two from Albirex Niigata (S).
Ayer Rajah Gryphons, Hougang United and Bussorah Youth Sports Club will also be represented by one player each.
There are also four players based overseas: Siti Rosnani Azman who is based in Okayama, Japan, Nicole Lim Yan Xiu in Edinburgh, Scotland, and Putri Syaliza Sazali and Summer Chong who are based in Florida and New Hampshire in USA respectively.
Five players – 19-year-old goalkeeper Nur Haziqah Haszman, 23-year-old midfielder Irsalina Irwan, 15-year-old midfielder Alyssa Deanna Yazrin, 22-year-old forward Claire Marie Tay and 18-year-old forward Summer Chong – have also been called up for the first time.

Tickets for the International Friendlies’ matches are required for all spectators aged three and above, and are priced at $10 for adults and S$5 for concession card holders.
A Singapore bundle which offers a discount of 10 per cent to attend both matches is also available. The bundle is priced at $18 for adults and $9 for concession.
Students aged 16 and below, and senior citizens aged 60 and above are eligible for the concession prices.
Spectators must be fully vaccinated to enter the stadium. Children aged 12 and below, who are exempted from vaccination, must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 and above. Mandatory bag checks will also be conducted before entry.
While safe distancing is no longer required, spectators are still encouraged to put on their masks in the stadium unless they are consuming any food or beverages.
Musical instruments, banners and flags are also subjected to approval at point of entry and must not contravene security and/or regulatory measures.
