Singapore Vegan Festival to return on Aug 27 at Raffles Convention City Centre
The festival will host a range of activities from food tours to culinary masterclasses.
Singapore Vegan Festival (SVF) will return for its fourth edition on Aug 27, celebrating the plant-based scene in Singapore.
This year’s edition focuses on themes like sustainable, healthy food options and food innovations for the future.
Held at the Raffles Convention City Centre, SVF boasts a line-up of activities such as food tours and culinary masterclasses, as well as vegan food options and lifestyle products for purchase.
The Vegan Market will feature gourmet and lifestyle products from over 25 independent vegan businesses, while the Vegan Food Village will offer signature plant-based dishes from over eight participating restaurants.
Besides retail, visitors can also learn more about topics such as climate change, food insecurity and a growing global population from four panel discussions and speaker symposiums consisting of experts in the field and youths.
The discussions will detail how the panelists have inspired their communities to contribute towards changing priorities one step at a time.
Live masterclasses and demonstrations by local and international chefs will be held for visitors to get an opportunity to experience the behind-the-scenes of preparing vegan cuisine.
Beyond the event on Aug 27, the SVF celebration will also extend islandwide till Sep 11, with exclusive food tours that celebrate and highlight the alternative food and culture scene in Singapore.
The tours will be held in locations such as Katong, Little India and Chinatown.
Tickets to the Singapore Vegan Festival at the Raffles Convention Centre on Aug 27 retail at $15.50 per pax. Children aged 0 to 15 can attend for free, and admission to the food tours will have a separate charge. Tickets can be purchased here.
