Singapore Under-22 squad for AFC U23 Asian Cup qualifiers confirmed
Out of the 23 players called up, only four do not play for the Young Lions.
The Singapore Under-22 Men’s National Football team squad for the upcoming Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U23 Asian Cup 2022 Qualifiers has been confirmed.
Among the 23 players selected, only four players do not play for the Young Lions. They are Tampines Rovers’ Ryaan Sanizal, Hougang United’s Farhan Zulkifli as well as Lion City Sailors’ Saifullah Akbar and Nur Adam Abdullah, who won the Singapore Premier League Young Player of the Year award.
Five players – Ong Yu En, Fikri Junaidi, Nazhiim Harman, Amirul Haikal and Marc Ryan Tan – were dropped from the provisional squad.
Singapore will kick off their Group H campaign against Timor Leste on Oct 25, before taking on Philippines and South Korea over the next six days.
All three games will be played at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
In line with prevailing COVID-19 restrictions, a maximum of 1,000 spectators will be allowed in the stadium for each match. Tickets are on sale and you can purchase them here.
