Singapore will face Malaysia and Vietnam in the AFF Under-19 Women’s Championship, announced the Football Association of Singapore (FAS) on Sunday (Jun 18).

The young Lionesses were drawn into Group B, and will play their matches in Palembang, Indonesia. The tournament will run from Jul 5 to 15.

This year’s tournament will return to its original U-19 format, after it was held in the U-18 format last year.

Ten countries will participate this year, excluding defending champions Australia.

Hosts Indonesia, Timor Leste, Cambodia and Laos were drawn into Group A, while Thailand, Myanmar and the Philippines were drawn into Group C.

Singapore ended their campaign in last year’s tournament with a draw against Cambodia and defeats to Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
