Singapore ranked 13th most Instagrammable place in the world in 2023
The top three most Instagrammable places this year are Milan, London and Paris, according to travel website Big 7 Travel.
Singapore was ranked the 13th most Instagrammable place in the world in 2023 by travel website Big 7 Travel. It dropped 12 places from its top spot on the same list last year.
The list comprises a total of 50 locations, and rankings this year are based on the total number of Instagram and TIkTok hashtags mentions of these locations.
Interestingly, although Milan is at the top of the list, Singapore has almost twice the amount of hashtags Milan has on Instagram. However, Milan beat every other location in TikTok hashtags alone, with 97 billion in total, and moved up from its 25th rank last year to first in 2023.
Described by Big 7 Travel as the fashion capital of Italy, Milan’s iconic landmarks have served as a backdrop on numerous social media photos and videos.
Following Milan is London and Paris, taking up the second and third spots respectively.

Also among the top ten are Asian destinations including Nepal, Bali and Sri Lanka.
Nepal, the highest ranked out of all three in sixth place, made a huge jump up from its position last year at 47th.
Bali and Sri Lanka are in eighth and ninth place respectively. Last year’s list placed Bali in 20th and Sri Lanka in 32nd.

One position before Singapore in 12th place is Baku, Azerbaijan, which was ranked 50th last year. It is known for its unique architecture, food and nightlife scene.

Ranked one position after Singapore in 14th place is Tokyo, the capital of Japan, which was previously ranked fourth on the list.
