Other than being crowned champion, you may just represent Singapore for international games.
If you have always dreamed of being part of Singapore’s athlete team, this may be your chance.
In a Facebook post on Nov 25, the Singapore National Teqball Federation announced that they will be having their first Challenger Cup.
It will be held on Dec 5, Dec 11 and Dec 18 as part of the AFF Suzuki Cup at OCBC Square, Sports Hub.
Teqball is very similar to table tennis, just without the paddles. Without the use of hands and arms, players must get the size-five football to their opponent’s side of a curved table. Here’s an example of how it’s played.
Other than winning cash, the teams who win first place in each category will have a spot to represent Singapore in upcoming international games in 2022.
Those who wish to take part in this challenge have to be Singaporean or PR citizens above 16 years of age.
Registrations will close by Dec 1, 6pm. All the best to those competing!
