Singapore Garden Festival to return from Jul 30 to Aug 9
SGF will be holding a variety of floral and tropical-themed competitions and displays at the event.
The Singapore Garden Festival (SGF) will return this year from Jul 30 to Aug 7 at Orchard Road and Jul 30 to Aug 9 at Singapore Botanic Gardens.
Each location will host different floral and tropical horticultural themed shows and activities that visitors can look forward to.
At Orchard Road, visitors can participate in activities such as the Community Garden Edibles Competition (CGEC). Through the competition, participants can showcase the fruits and vegetables that they have grown and compete with others.
This year, CGEC will replace its Longest and Heaviest categories with nine new Best Edibles Categories. The rules and regulations for CGEC can be found on the SGF website.
One of the floral competitions that visitors can participate in is the Floral Fiesta: A Floral Creation Challenge.
After two days and three elimination rounds, the participant with the best floral arrangements made within the limited time and materials will emerge as the winner. This competition will be held from Aug 3 to 7 at ION Orchard Basement 4.
Visitors can also enjoy the unique floral installations and show gardens that will be displayed at ION Orchard and Civic Plaza at Ngee Ann City.
The second location, Singapore Botanic Gardens, will also be holding various competitions such as the Orchid Competition, Singapore Gardeners’ Cup, and the Landscape Design Challenge.
There will be a marketplace set up at Tyersall Coach Park for visitors to browse and shop for gardening-related products. The marketplace will be open from 8.30am to 7pm every day throughout the event. Those that are interested in participating as a vendor can register here.
SGF will be open to visitors from 10am to 10pm at Orchard Road and 8.30am to 7pm at Singapore Botanic Gardens. More information and updates about the different competitions can be found on SGF’s official website.
