Singapore Discovery Centre (SDC)’s Harrowing Halloween makes a return in October, with a variety of spine-chilling activities.

Once again in collaboration with Singapore Polytechnic (SP), this year’s Harrowing Halloween includes a line-up of immersive activities, from a haunted house to screenings of short films that will keep you up at night.

Here’s a sneak peek of what you can expect:

Like something out of a Netflix series, haunted house Flight 013 will put your survival skills to the test.

Figure out ways to escape after the flight has an unexpected layover at a mysterious island.

Make it past dense jungles infested with creepy crawlies and come face to face with a mysterious cult of collectors as you find a way off this island.

Not convinced by the ghost stories your friends tell you about? This might just change your mind!

Cross into a world of darkness with the Singapore Story Guide, to discover spices and rituals commonly practised by the different cultural groups for paranormal purposes and uncover lesser-known stories about buildings in Singapore with dark heritage.

Journey through the tragic life and death of one of the mysterious residents, Ah Huat, and learn more about Chinese superstitions and taboos through an interactive, after-dark tour.

Love a good horror flick? Head on down to SDC’s iWERKS Theatre to catch a short film, produced by students from Temasek Polytechnic’s Diploma in Digital Film & Television programme.

As there are some violent and disturbing scenes, the shorts have been rated PG13.

Other activities at Harrowing Halloween include a special exhibition on bugs and a gallery exploring Chinese superstitions and taboos.

Passes and tickets to add-on activities can be purchased on SDC’s website.

Harrowing Halloween will run from 7pm to 11pm on every Friday and Saturday from Oct 1 to 29, with an additional day on Oct 30. SDC is located at 510 Upper Jurong Road, Singapore 638365.
