It will also feature the 2022 edition of the Work In Progress (W.I.P.) programme to help nurture the next generation of storytellers and creators in Singapore.
The W.I.P. programme will be expanded with new programmes this year such as the Comic Submission, where creators can get feedback on their works from publishers and media companies.
Participants can win up to $800 cash and the top three submissions will have the opportunity to present directly to participating publishers during SGCC 2022.
The convention will see the return of the cosplay competition on Dec 11 with over $10,000 worth of prizes to be won. It is open to ticket holders of all levels of experience, extra points will be awarded if the costumes are handcrafted.
In conjunction with the premiere of the Nickelodeon series Transformers: EarthSpark, cosplayers who roll out their best Transformers cosplay will stand a chance to win an additional Nickelodeon goody bag worth $300.
Tickets to SGCC can be purchased on the Klook website, with one-day tickets going for $30 and two-day tickets at $56.
Attendees may also top up their ticket for exclusive event merchandise including an SGCC T-shirt blindbox or the choice of two Tamashii Nations exclusive GUNDAM figures.
