Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre RE●MIX 2k22 hosts open call for youth projects
Turn your ideas into reality.
Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre’s (SCCC) annual festival RE●MIX is returning for the third year from Nov 18 to 27, this time offering an opportunity to youths to realise their creative potential.
It is encouraging youths aged 17 to 25, or those born between 1997 to 2005, to send in their creative ideas for consideration.
These proposals can take the form of performances, screenings, exhibitions, installations, publications, digital content, or physical or online events for mass participation. The proposals may be submitted on a group or individual basis.
All ideas have to include elements of the Chinese Singaporean culture, for example, Chinese dialects, festivals, food and drinks, religions, traditional knowledge, traditional life customs, visual arts, performing arts, literary arts, and design.
The language medium can be in either English or Chinese as SCCC will eventually provide translations of the work.
Shortlisted proposals will receive support and funding (capped at $10,000) from SCCC to be realised for RE●MIX 2k22. This includes marketing and publicity support as well as venue and production support, where applicable.
Additionally, participants may also be paired with industry mentors for consultation, subject to availability and nature of the project.
To enter, individuals have to be a Singaporean citizen or permanent resident.
The submission window is open from Mar 21 till Jun 6. Thereafter, successful applicants will be notified. The production period for the projects will take place from July to November so as to be ready by mid-November for the festival.
