Singapore Cat Festival to return after 3-year hiatus; to feature activities, workshops
The Singapore Cat Festival will run from Mar 25 to 26 at Great World.
After a three year-long hiatus, Singapore Cat Festival is now back for its third run from Mar 25 to 26 at Great World.
Hosted by pet events organiser Furflr, the event aims to showcase all things cats to prospective cat owners and the general public through booths and workshops that visitors are sure to look forward to.
According to the organisers, the Singapore Cat Festival was launched back in 2018 to celebrate the local cat community and culture, as well as to spread the love for cats among Singaporeans, regardless of whether they are cat enthusiasts or not.
Upon stepping through the festival’s doors, visitors can expect to see cat-related booths from over 50 local and international vendors.
For those that would like to partake in a little arts and crafts during the Festival, they can sign up for an art jamming workshop and paint to their heart’s content.
Hosted by Amber Art Gallery, workshop participants can choose one of nine different Paint By Number artworks. They will be assisted by an in-house artist while working on their own art piece.

There is also another workshop hosted by Animal & Veterinary Service that is specially curated for families with young children ages five to 12, where they may bond over making cat toys together while learning about responsible cat ownership and improving cats’ wellbeing.
Aside from the workshops, visitors may also walk around and have a look at the various booths.
Visitors can browse through the assortment of silly cat-related postcards and other stationery goods made by Steak & Eggs Please, or purchase some nutritional cat food from PetCubes.

After a whole day of being around cats, those keen to adopt one are in luck. In collaboration with organisations like Cat Welfare Society, Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and Purely Adoptions, an adoption drive will be set up.
Should visitors walk away without a feline friend to bring home, they may still interact with more cat breeds during Feline Fanciers Society of Singapore’s breed showcase.
Admission to the Singapore Cats Festival is free. Those who wish to bring their cats into the festival must ensure that the cats are kept in transport crates or carriers.
The Singapore Cats Festival will be held at 1 Kim Seng Promenade, Great World City, Singapore 237994. Interested parties can visit its website for more information.
