Good news for those who need to travel for essential activities this year. Singapore Airlines (SIA) and SilkAir will be resuming selected flights in June and July 2020.

The updated schedule includes flights to 12 cities: Adelaide, Amsterdam, Auckland, Barcelona, Brisbane, Cebu, Christchurch, Copenhagen, Hong Kong, Medan, Melbourne and Osaka. Head here for the full list of updated flight schedules.

Do note that all flights are subject to regulatory approvals. If you are planning to book a flight from the updated schedule, you will be informed of any schedule changes via SMS and email.

Additionally, all other flights that were originally scheduled from June to July 2020 and are not listed in the updated schedule, will be cancelled.

Customers whose flights have been cancelled by SIA or SilkAir will get to keep the unused portion of their tickets as flight credits, which can be used up till Dec 31 2021. They will also be awarded bonus flight credits when they rebook their travel.

SIA shared on their website that the updated flight schedule will cut “approximately 94 per cent of the passenger capacity that had been originally scheduled for June and July 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak”.

While The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has previously announced that travellers will gradually be able to transit through Changi Airport from today (Jun 2), SIA will share plans about transfer lanes for their customers soon.
