Simply capture a photo of anything hawker-related and stand a chance to win prizes such as Capitaland vouchers from the National Heritage Board.
Love Singapore’s hawker culture but you’ve got no idea how to express it?
Here’s a chance to do so and also stand a chance to win some prizes – by simply capturing a photo that depicts what you love about the hawker culture in Singapore!
The National Heritage Board is running the Hawker Culture Photo Competition from now until Feb 7. The competition is open to anyone 18 years old and above.
To enter the competition, you will need to take a photo featuring either people in the hawker centre, familiar practices you see at a hawker centre, or your beloved local dishes!
Here’s how you can submit your entry:
- Post a photo on Instagram and include a message of appreciation for our hawkers in your caption
- Follow and tag @SGHawkerCulture
- Hashtag #OurSGHeritage, #SGHawkerCultureContest and #ThankYouHawkers
The top three winning entries stand a chance to win Capitaland vouchers worth $200 to $400.
Goodie bags, filled with exclusive hawker-themed merchandise, will also be awarded to five consolation prize winners. All winners will also receive a copy of the Early Hawker in Singapore publication.
The contest closes at 11.59pm on Feb 7 and terms and conditions can be found here.
